RedHotBrides.com, owned by TF Aeon, invites photographers to enter its 2008 Photography Competition.  You must read the following rules, terms and conditions before submitting any photos!

RedHotBrides.com 2008 Digital Photography Competition (the "Contest") is open to ALL photographers at least 18 years of age, except employees of RedHotBrides.com and the immediate families of such employees.  The contest is open to all participants regardless of residence or citizenship, so long as the laws of their jurisdiction allow participation.

YOUR RIGHTS: You will retain all rights to any photograph you submit -- including ownership if applicable -- other than those rights licensed in the next sentence.  By entering the contest, you hereby grant to RedHotBrides.com (i) a nonexclusive, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free license to reproduce, distribute, publicly display and publicly perform the photographs you submit to RedHotBrides.com, and (ii) the right to use your name, city, state and country of residence in promotions and other publications.

WHAT TO ENTER: We are looking for striking digital images of brides dressed in red wedding gown.  Your images may be taken anywhere in the world and the location should be included in the photo caption.  Your images may show outdoor, portraits, plant life, posed, weather or people interaction. The people may be provocative but not showing any personal parts that would be inappropriate to a minor.

Please do not include photographs of Asian or Muslim cultured brides. We are seeking for Western (USA/European) type red bridal dresses. Red is a common color already among those cultures and we are trying to find the best wedding gown in red.  Nudities are prohibited, even if they are an artistic shot.  In your submission, you are responsible for obtaining the necessary releases from the individuals depicted, and must be able to provide copies of those releases to RedHotBrides.com upon request.  Entrants must not submit images that infringe on the rights of any other photographer or person.

All photographs should accurately reflect the subject matter and the scene as it appeared.  Photos that have been digitally altered beyond standard optimization (removal of dust, cropping, adjustments to color and contrast, etc.) will be disqualified.

CATEGORIES: Images may be submitted in one of two categories.  Photographers may enter all entries in a single category, or they may select different categories so long as each photo is entered into only one category.  Judges reserve the right to move images from one category to the other based on eligibility.

• Best Photo of a bride in a Red Wedding dress – Finding an American/European bride and wearing red is rare enough, we like to find a photo that best represent a real bride in their best pose in red.
• Best photo of a bride in a wedding dress with a red theme -- This category is open to all photographs that shows a bride wearing red color accessories (jewelry's, veils, belts,etc) where it covers more then 50% of the bride's body with a red color.

HOW TO ENTER: Each photo must be submitted electronically, by one (and only one) of the following two methods:

•  Via RedHotBrides.com ™ -- If you have multiple photos to enter in the competition, please consider using this method to enter the contest.

To submit your photos via RedHotBrides.com™, go to www.redhotbrides.com/redbrides and register an account.  If you do not have an account, you can sign-up for free.  An email activation verification is required to prevent spammers. After logging in, upload your images using the mechanism provided.  You may create sub-albums if you intend to upload a lot of photos to make it easier to organize your photos. Be sure to include your contact information with each photo you upload. While we can locate the owner of a photo uploaded by the profile you created, we will only know your email address. We like to be able to contact you via other methods in addition to emails if you were the winner(s). After the photo have been uploaded, periodically we will move them to a private location to take them off from being displayed publicly.

•  Via Manual Submission Process -- If you choose not to use RedHotBrides.com™ Gallery to submit your image, you may email your photo to contest@redhotbrides.com but we will not provide any confirmation whether we received the photo or not. The files may be too large and be rejected by our webhosting company. We have set our inbox to allow up to a 9 megabytes attachment. We recommend you to use the first method of uploading it via our gallery.

ELIGIBILITY AND JUDGING: To ensure eligibility for the contest, entries must have a resolution of 2 megapixels or higher. 

Entries may originate in any format -- including, but not limited to digital files, digital prints, color transparencies, color prints, or black and white prints -- so long as they are submitted electronically.  Previously published material for which non-exclusive rights were granted may be entered as long as you still maintain the right to grant us a license (see "Your Rights" above).  You must be able to disclose when and where the photo appeared previously to RedHotBrides.com upon request.

Images will be judged on originality, technical excellence, composition, overall impact and artistic merit.  The judges are a panel of RedHotBrides.com staff members familiar with photography and responsible for selecting images for various RedHotBrides.com printed and online marketing and membership materials.

RedHotBrides.com shall determine winner eligibility in its sole and absolute discretion.  All decisions made by the judges are final.

DEADLINES: Deadline for submitting entries is 11:59 pm Pacific Standard Time on September 20, 2008.  Online entries can be uploaded starting 12:01 am Eastern Standard Time on Dec 14, 2007. Finalists will be announced on or before November 20, 2008.  Grand Prize Winners will be announced on or before December, 2008.

RedHotBrides.com reserves the right to adjust any deadline(s) as the result of causes beyond its immediate control.

WINNING PHOTOS: At least 50 photos will be selected as Finalists, with a minimum of 25 for each category.  Each category will have one Grand-Prize Winner.

All finalists and grand-prize winning photographs will be credited with the caption "© Person's Name."  RedHotBrides.com has final approval of any language that appears on its website with any of the photos.
